Role Purpose:

  • A new vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Manager to join our client’s busy pharmaceutical facility in Co. Cork.
  • The Maintenance Manager will be ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant work environment.
  • The successful candidate will be coordinating Maintenance and utilities activities and making relevant decisions.
  • Implementing & tracking maintenance and utilities operation targets and support developments
  • Drive continuous improvement processes and deviation or incident related activities
  • Motivating, including, directing, aligning & coaching employees
  • Organizing and/or providing training (e.g. EHS related, new units processes, and procedures)
  • Allocating resources between teams and departments

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance (Mechanical)

  • Coordinating and assigning maintenance activities
  • Collaborating with other disciplines e.g. production, asset, process, project management, authorities, suppliers, and contractors
  • Conducting performance checks on activities and drive continuous improvement process
  • Providing input into TAR planning

Utilities

  • Operating and managing of the utility units
  • Providing records, progress reports, and documentation (e.g. CO2 emission report)
  • Assessing the status and drive asset development and optimization

General Work & Engineering Stores

  • Coordinate and assign general worker activities (eg.g checks, engineering stores management)

 

Education & Qualifications Required:

  • An Engineering Degree (Level 8), chemical, mechanical, or similar.
  • Experience in other Engineering disciplines – civil, materials, process, electrical, automation and EIC (electrical, instrumentation, control).
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of: Utilities operation, maintenance practices, Codes of practice, Safety Standards, Leadership, Engineering Standards, Good technical writing, Occupational behavior.
  • Mentality: Decision making, solution focused, team oriented, adaptable, inclusive, mentoring.
