Role Summary:

  • A vacancy has arisen for the role of an AutoCAD Technician at our client’s busy pharmaceutical site in Co. Kildare.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate would be working as part of a team in the areas of:
  • Utilise Autodesk AutoCAD 2021software to produce detailed engineering designs and drawings spanning a range of disciplines, P&ID / Mechanical / HVAC / Electrical & building services. 3D and presentation skills are useful.
  • Work closely with team members to transform concepts and designs into accurate and precise technical drawings.
  • Adhere to project timelines and effectively manage workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks on drawings and models to maintain high standards of accuracy and completeness.
  • Training will be provided to fulfil the requirements of your role, your participation to all essential training will be required.
  • To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company’s evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience using AutoCAD, less experience will be considered for candidates with recent recognised AutoCAD training / certification.
  • We are more interested in your enthusiasm and willingness to learn by doing.
  • Knowledge / experience of P&ID drawings / HVAC & building services would be helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own individual tasks.
  • Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
  • Fluent English is essential.
  • A willingness to deal with contractors, suppliers, and clients in a courteous and professional manner by email, phone and in person, is required.
  • Experience working with large plotters.
  • Experience using Revit and Navisworks applications, but not essential.
  • Experience of vaulted drawing control systems would be a benefit, but not essential.
  • Experience of revision-controlled drawings, both electronic and paper format.
