Role Summary:

  • Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to manage the infrastructure upgrade of a large manufacturing site in the Southeast.
  • The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering support to the Facilities Engineering Group while working on project planning for large infrastructural upgrades including PV and heat pump installations and changeout of boilers from gas to electric.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the definition, concept, design, implementation and handover of multi-disciplinary engineering projects; focusing on electrical requirements, utilities, automation and production systems.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical element on multiple projects for the duration of projects.
  • Implement and adhere to company project management procedures and SOPs to deliver projects.
  • Design and tender of engineering projects, including generating electrical user requirement specifications, tender specifications and tender drawings.
  • Verification, commissioning and handover of engineering systems to end users.
  • Develop project budgets and manage for the lifecycle of the project.
  • Work as part of a wider project team and assist in the delivery of key projects.
  • Facilitate and participate in the department’s continuous improvement program.
  • Provide technical support to production, particularly on electrical requirements.
  • Understand cGMP requirements
  • Follow required applicable Regulatory standards as required
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure compliance to the QMS.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree (level 8) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years’ experience in an electrical environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Management functions with experience of working on medium and large-scale capital projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects from conception to completion.
  • Qualification / training in Project Management preferable.
  • Decisive, good communicator, self-motivated, has record of achievement, and a track record of working as part of team.
